Floss
estimation is for stitching with model specifics. DMC equivalents are only
approximate, as there are no exact matches for hand-dyed floss.
Entire
piece is done in cross-stitch, with three exceptions:

The
border uses a Smyrna Cross Stitch (diagram provided). This stitch can
be replaced with a cross stitch or stitch of your choice ~ or could be
omitted completely.

Backstitch
(as charted).

Cross
Stitch over one linen thread ~ initials and year ~ alphabet provided.
I
encourage you to use floss and fabric colors that match your personality and
style.
The
motifs would work great for magnets or scissor fobs!

this sampler your own by replacing a square with your own special motif, or
with a favorite button or charm.
This
sampler was designed with my wonderful friend Vicki in mind. Sometimes in
life (if you are extremely lucky) you become friends with someone who makes
you a better person just for knowing them; for me, that person is Vicki. Her
kindness, generosity, and graciousness are just a few of her many special
qualities. She is truly an angel on earth. The golden kitty is a special motif
designed especially for her.
