Floss
estimation is for stitching with one strand of floss over two linen threads
on 40-count fabric. DMC equivalent is only approximate, as there are no
exact equivalents for hand-dyed fibers.
Entire design is stitched in cross-stitch.
I
encourage you to use floss and fabric colors that match your personality and
style.
About
the design: Each diamond contains a hidden letter of the alphabet (taken from
the center of the design) multiplied at least four times. Starting from the
top left corner diamond (box 1) and reading left to right for each row –
box one contains four of the letter “A”, box two contains four
of the letter “B”, box three contains four of the letter “C”,
and so on.
To design your own inscription sampler:
1. Choose a word – for example: first name, last name, "love",
or “welcome”
2. Stitch the diamonds containing the letters of your word.
Each
diamond is the perfect size for a scissor fob, ornament, or needlebook.
