Stitch Count - 60 X 57 (per one side of one ornament). For each ornament you will need one piece of linen for the front and one piece of linen for the back.

Model is stitched on 32 count Bittersweet hand-dyed fabric by Lakeside Linens over both 1 and 2 linen threads.

Model is stitched with The Gentle Art Sampler Thread (DMC equivalent provided).

Floss estimation is for stitching all six ornaments as directed on 32 count fabric.
NOTE: not all ornaments use all colors - when stitching only one ornament, please reference the chart for specific colors used.

NOTE: each ornament uses a different color of DMC floss for cording and a different Mill Hill bead color for the beaded edge; please see stitching instructions and key included in the chart pack for a specific breakdown when only stitching one ornament.

Each design contains both cross-stitch over one linen thread and cross-stitch over two linen threads. For cross-stitch over one linen thread use one strand of floss ~ for cross-stitch over two linen threads use two strands of floss. Design also contains a back-stitch border using two strands of floss. Directions for all three stitches provided.

I encourage you to use floss and fabric colors that match your personality and style.

Worksheet with an alphabet/numbers provided for personalizing the back of your ornament.

One design would make a wonderful needlebook or needlework small.

Try using a matching cotton print fabric for the back of your ornament.

Alternative options to the beaded edge: use twisted cord around entire ornament...or use matching rick rack (really cute!).

Personalize the back of the ornament by stitching names, initials, baby weight, and/or dates...add a motif from the front of the ornament or from your favorite source.

Use as a package tie-on for that special occasion gift...or flat finish as a knob hanger...or even make a tiny framed piece...the possibilities are endless...
