one ornament.
Each design contains both cross-stitch over one linen thread and cross-stitch
over two linen threads. For cross-stitch over one linen thread use one strand
of floss ~ for cross-stitch over two linen threads use two strands of floss.
Design also contains a back-stitch border using two strands of floss. Directions
for all three stitches provided.
I encourage you to use floss and fabric colors that match your personality
and style.
Worksheet with an alphabet/numbers provided for personalizing the back of
your ornament.
Finishing instructions included.
One design would make a wonderful needlebook or needlework small.
Try using a matching cotton print fabric for the back of your ornament.
Alternative options to the beaded edge: use twisted cord around entire ornament...or
use matching rick rack (really cute!).
Personalize the back of the ornament by stitching names, initials, baby weight,
and/or dates...add a motif from the front of the ornament or from your favorite
source.
Use as a package tie-on for that special occasion gift...or flat finish as
a knob hanger...or even make a tiny framed piece...the possibilities are endless...
