All models are stitched on 40-count Bisque hand-dyed fabric from Lakeside Linens.

To stitch all four of the needlework smalls with model specifics, you will need a 14” H x 14” W piece of 40-count linen (diagram for layout included)- this is with a 1" seam allowance and 2" between pieces - you may wish to cut a larger size for additional working space. Chartpack contains cut sizes for alternate fabric counts.

Model is stitched with Crescent Colours Belle Soie 12-strand Silk (DMC equivalent provided).

Floss estimation is for stitching all five pieces as directed on 40-count linen with one strand of floss. DMC equivalents are only approximate, as there are no exact equivalents for hand-dyed threads.

Package contains charts for each of the five pieces, stitching instructions, complete finishing instructions for the needlework smalls, and a worksheet area and alphabet for personalization.

I encourage you to use floss and fabric colors that match your personality and style.

A little disclaimer: I highly recommend using the Belle Soie silks, if you are wanting the same look as the model. The DMC colors will obviously not provide the same shading and are only approximate. The Crescent Colors cotton floss will provide the shading, but the colors are not exact matches. I have converted the colors using the dye-lots I have on hand - the stitcher (or shop owner) may need to make slight adjustments to make the conversions more personally "eye pleasing".

Certain individual sections on the sampler could be stitched alone to make ornaments or knob hangers...or magnets...or bookmarks...this gives you a chance to be creative!
