with a unique stitched octagon-shaped box to hold them!

Sampler is stitched on 32-count Strawflower from Lakeside Linens.

Needlework Box and Smalls models are stitched on both:

32-count Strawflower (Outside Octagon Box and Front of Needlwork Smalls) and
32-count Sea Storm (Inside Octagon Box and Back of Smalls) hand-dyed fabric from Lakeside Linens.

• To stitch the box and needlework smalls with model specifics, you will need:

•  12” H x 27” W piece of 32-count Strawflower ("LAND" - fronts of needlework smalls, outside of box)*

•  12” H x 27” W piece of 32-count Sea Storm ("SEA" - backs of  needlework smalls, inside box)*

  *Includes approximately a 2” allowance around the perimeter and 1.5" between each piece (diagram enclosed).
  

Model is stitched with Weeks Dye Works cotton floss (DMC equivalent provided)

*Floss estimation is for stitching all five pieces (sampler, octagon box, three needlework smalls) using model specifics. DMC equivalents are only approximate, as there are no exact equivalents for hand-dyed floss. If stitching only the sampler, you will need one skein of each color except Tin Roof (Tin Roof  is not used in the sampler).

Package contains charts for each of the five pieces, stitching instructions, complete finishing instructions for the box and the needlework smalls, and a worksheet area and alphabet/numbers for personalization.

I encourage you to use floss and fabric colors that match your personality and style.

Finishing Supplies:

• 2 skeins DMC six-strand cotton embroidery floss - 3364 (for twisted cord).

• Matching ribbon (for needlebook and optional octagon box)

• Matching Fabric (for lining needlebook)

• Matching Wool Felt (for needlebook pages)

• Cotton Batting (for needlebook)

• Fiberfill or Cotton Balls (for stuffing scissor fob and pin pillow)

• Skirtex or Easy Felt (for octagon box pieces)
  

• Optional - Three Thread Rings (for inside box lid)

Model used round thread rings from Kelmscott Designs

• Optional - Medium Rick Rack (for inside box lid

• Kreinik Custom Corder™ (mini drill for making twisted cord)

• Transparent Nylon Sewing Thread (for assembly of octagon box)

• Basic sewing supplies, fabric glue, double-sided tape, and iron (KK 2000 Temporary Adhesive Spray may be helpful)
