HEART'S DESIRE CROSS STITCH CAMP:
I am also happy to announce I will be the guest teacher at the Heart's Desire (a needlework shop in Wichita, KS) Cross Stitch Camp held yearlyat Rock Springs 4-H campground near Junction City, KS - this event is being held April 14th-17th, 2011. MAGAZINES:
The Just CrossStitch Halloween ornament issue is currently shipping and will be available in August - I was invited to design a special ornament for this issue...and it is on the cover (lower right corner - an owl on a jack-o-lantern)...this ornament is called "Perched on a Pumpkin"...look for this special issue to arrive soon!
I was also invited to design an ornament for the 2010 Just CrossStitch Christmas Ornament issue...this special issue is one of my personal favorites and will be arriving later this year. Needlework shops are taking pre-orders for this popular issue - so if you are not a subscriber, make sure to visit your favorite needlework shop and place an order!
Lastly, I was asked to design a sampler for the February 2011 issue of Just CrossStitch Magazine...the model is stitched and is currently being framed. Obviously, I can't show you a complete photo; you will have to wait until the issue hits newsstands later this year...but for now, here is a tiny sneak peek (titled "Berries, Birds, and Blooms"):

RECIPE FOR A CURE:
Recently, Jean at Attic Needlework & Collectibles contacted me regarding her Annual Silent Auction for Breast Cancer Research. This year her already AMAZING fundraising efforts are expanding to include a published recipe book - this special cookbook "Recipe for a Cure" will even include charts and recipes from some of your favorite designers...and most importantly, all net proceeds from the sales of the recipe book are being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I have submitted several recipes..and I have designed an ornament especially for this very worthy cause. The chart for my ornament titled "Cardinals for a Cure" (seen right) will be in the published cookbook...this will be the only place you can find this design for at least one year. This unique recipe book is not available yet...release is set for November 2010...and I will be sure to keep you updated. Even more special news - I have donated my ornament model - the exact one in the photo - to be auctioned off at the Annual Silent Auction in November....yep, stitched and finished by my own two hands! The auction (held each year - the last Saturday evening before Thanksgiving), raised approximately $20,000 last year from donations. I will be sure to keep you informed on this spectacular fundraiser later this fall...and later this year, make sure to support this very worthy cause by purchasing a copy of "Recipes for a Cure"....

SYHO (Stitch Your Heart Out):
I am one of the twelve designers participating in the SYHO Designer Encyclopedia. Each month for 12 months (starting in February 2010) a fun, new design will be released by a different designer...along with interviews, interactive games, fun LNS stitch nights, prizes, heart healthy recipes and much much more - my design was number three in the series (released April 2010). It is titled "Established With Love" and is currently available at your favorite needlework shop!
Once you have stitched all 12 designs, you will receive FREE instructions on how to assemble the 12 designs into a stitched "designer encyclopedia". For more information...and to see a list of all twelve participating designers visit:
